Brittany Brooks

Brittany Brooks EQ Ambassador

My Noble Goal is... to create spaces of belonging, wellness, equity, and achievement -- because we all are deserving of such freedoms

My work is about... Supporting educators in creating social and emotional safe spaces for children

Professional accomplishments include... My professional experience includes completing the UEQ Certification and participating in the CEE (Coaching Equity Essentials) course, a learning experience that was life-changing. I’ve been a guest on a few of Six Seconds' online shows located on YouTube, and I’ve had the amazing opportunity of being a Live Stream Host on “Good Morning Emotions” a platform where we discuss and dissect emotions in life and Pop Culture. More recently, I’ve had the honor of partnering with Six Seconds to create SEL Lessons for the Red Nose Day Foundation, and have raised money for the Annual World Children’s Day Fundraiser which gives children across the world an opportunity to participate in POP-UP Festival.

My work with Social Emotional Learning and Six Seconds is a continuous journey of learning and growing with myself and with others!

A few past experiences... While continuing to be an ambassador and champion for emotional learning, I show up everyday to serve children and teachers as an Assistant Principal here in Memphis, TN.

I also have the honor of being a wife, and mother to two amazing children.

One reason I’m personally passionate about emotional intelligence is…. it is truly the path way to understanding self, others, and our interactions in all spaces. It provides tools that give us permission to pause, reflect, and ask the hard but necessary questions while also leading and learning with empathy.
